Horse Show Week aaaaaaaand a trip to California!

So.  It's horse show week.
Assume the horse show position! Zzzzzzz...

I have the following things going for me:
- BOTH of my horse show moms will be there!
- My ride times are the greatest (10:51am for Dressage, 11:30 for SJ, then dozing in the sun until my teammates get done and we can go XC schooling midafternoon.)  Thanks super horse show secretary Amy!
- I did Connor's mane and tail yesterday.  Check and check.
- I got my show clothes cleaned last month.  Ain't no procrastination 'round here.

I have the following things not going for me (in a horse show sense):
- I haven't even looked at the new 2014 BN Dressage tests.
- Where are my show pads?
- I am flying to California on Wednesday, returning in the wee hours of Friday morning and then throwing Connor on the trailer Friday afternoon.  Probably wearing sunglasses, toting a giant Starbucks and fending off a lethal combination of jet lag and sleep deprivation while doing it.  No shenanigans, pony!

This is the craziest story, but a team from a Very Popular Social Networking Site found me on LinkedIn last month, and after two phone interviews, they're flying me out for an on-site interview this week.  L Williams has patiently answered all of my questions about the other planet that is northern California and has been pretty much indispensable.  Thanks to her I will show up on time and in appropriate clothing - the many benefits of blog friends!

So many things to think about, but the horse-related ones are:
- Of course Connor would come with!
- How quickly can I memorize this Dressage test?

Updates to come!

    1. Haha LW Welcome Wagon, that should be an official thing. Never been there before, I am floored by the cost of living and horsekeeping! But it will be a fun adventure one way or another.

    1. Thanks! I think he will. He's always better behaved/less spooky at shows than he is at home.
