VCBH: Appreciating What You Have

"Let's take a moment to appreciate the Pros of our current ponies, whether you own them or just ride them in lessons."

I've been AWOL from the Blog Hop for a while, but now I am back in action!  Who wouldn't want to take a moment to appreciate their fuzzy equine partner?

  • Connor has a sense of humor - when I say "Let's try this!" he's game.
  • He's patient for long boring tasks like mane pulling, braiding, clipping, etc.
Those ears are never not forward.
  • He's got my best interests at heart: he's never tossed me, and his bucks are so small they just make me giggle.
  • He's the same no matter how often I ride.
  • He's careful to a fault, and hates hitting fences. To revisit:
    • His expression when he clears a fence:

    • His expression when he hits a rail:

  • He's never seen a trailer he wouldn't load in.

  • He's my size!
  • Dem feet:
Dr. Marks said in college that you'd know a Castleberry pony by their textbook feet!

    1. The massive pee spot in his stall every morning? The little guy seriously pees twice as much as the bigger horses.

  3. You almost make me wish I was tiny enough to have a cob. ;-)

    1. Connor's pretty small for a Cob! There's no upper limit on height, many of them are 15hh+. Plus there are WB Cob crosses like this Castleberry pony at the show last weekend.

What I'm saying is, I'll never stop enabling when it comes to Welsh Cobs. ;-)

    1. ...it's because you picked him up and we're going on a trail ride together? Haha.
