Mom's Jump Start Scrapbook

My mom is an avid scrapbooker via Shutterfly, usually making one book per season each year.  When she got to last fall's book, she realized she had too many favorite pictures of Connor and I from Jump Start HT last year, so she ended up making an entire book about it!

I knew she was making it, but didn't know she was making me a copy until it arrived in my mailbox this morning.  It's so cool!  She used quotes from my blog throughout, which makes my blogs feel...purposeful...from that time.  It's really neat.

My favorite Jennie Brannigan quote is on the first page!  Opening up a book about winning a competition with a quote about the journey with the horse being a journey and not a destination - that is just my style.  Thanks, Mom!
Top picture makes me want to braid him just for fun, I love the repetitive nature of braiding.  It's my pre-show meditation.  The middle picture has to be the least flattering picture of Connor ever taken!  (But I still love it, despite his front end being in a ditch!)

Closeup of one of my favorite jumping pictures of us, over the gate.

Yeah, the desire to run XC again reached a fever pitch by this point.  I actually stopped reading it to text my trainer about XC schooling here.  Cannot wait to school XC in a saddle that fits me!

And the last page is all about me and my mom, including a picture of the three of us from Fox River Valley.

As I told my mom, that whole show felt like a storybook from top to bottom, and now it really is one!  Thanks, Mom!
