My horse gets quite tense and overreacts around this time of year, for Spring, and as we get to autumn. I think it's the increased rainfall affecting the grass/crops going into hard feed. That could be waaaay off though haha and hopefully it's a quick fix that you figure out in your lesson!Christle Olivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214204082407566805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-28535323085105534932014-11-05T12:09:46.947-05:002014-11-05T12:09:46.947-05:00My girls both have gone through a bit of this and ...My girls both have gone through a bit of this and both ended up hurting somewhere -Bridget needed her teeth done and Ginger had a mineral imbalance and sore muscles. Here's hoping it's just a phase and you're back to some good rides soon :)Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05438372155463437107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-40148473294101233832014-11-05T11:33:28.156-05:002014-11-05T11:33:28.156-05:00Going through the same thing with Penny too! Sometimes I do think even 2-3 days off might help both bodies and minds - of horse and rider. Won't hurt anything and when you return - you can see where you are at.Boss Mare Eventinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08039910692009593158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-30153904860160969842014-11-05T11:32:50.286-05:002014-11-05T11:32:50.286-05:00What were you working on? Sure, he gave you some, but he's probably sore. He probably doesn't fully understand. He also probably doesn't wanna.

I'm not saying give up, or give in. But it's a rough and ugly transition while they get more flexibility and more strength to do what you're asking. Think the fits Pig was throwing me all summer about flexion. Now? I raise my inside hand and he comes right in. He has the strength to do it it now, because we struggled through the ugly and the tension.Austenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13004088333430762406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-29574825652463360602014-11-05T11:02:54.716-05:002014-11-05T11:02:54.716-05:00Courage is going through this awesome phase wherei...Courage is going through this awesome phase wherein he just tests me every ride. For the whole ride. On the one hand, we're getting some really quality work. On the other hand, it's exhausting and not a lot of fun. I know my horse, I know it's a phase, and I know I have to work through it, but that doesn't make it enjoyable. :-/

Hang in there. Hopefully you'll get him all straightened out in your next lesson.SprinklerBandithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02948487857418394022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-33370753783170497942014-11-05T10:09:29.839-05:002014-11-05T10:09:29.839-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Laura @ Bit by Bithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00833170047922667704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846330497859393721.post-14391374363842647222014-11-05T08:28:37.447-05:002014-11-05T08:28:37.447-05:00I feel you!!
