Connected Canter -> Connected Trot

I had the day off today (thanks, veterans!) and rode Connor in the indoor this morning.

We got a pristine connected canter to connected trot downward transition for the first time ever.

I am over the moon about it!  And that's pretty much all I've got.  Except for this picture of SNOW?!  What on earth, Indiana?  It was too warm for me to wear a sweatshirt while doing stalls yesterday!

Snow.  And last night's all-night rain on the ground.
Snow COLLECTING on the roof of the indoor, as seen from the bathroom/storage loft. Gah.

Someone missed breakfast due to the ride, and got to eat in the wash rack wearing a cooler.  Before getting turned out in the snow.  HA!

  1. Yay! Isn't it funny how exciting the little light bulbs are? And nobody gets it but other horse people. Congrats!

  2. I miss you when I don't hear from you for a while, 'Me', blogging or commenting! It is awesome to have a "first" like this. Someday it will be a normal regulate everyday occurrence and I won't even blog about it! ;-)

  3. Awesome!!! One day Hue and I will have that! And snow! I am kinda jealous!

  4. The weather is outta control. 70 to 25 yuck. Great job on the transitions you guys are progessing by leaps and bounds. Next season you will be out there kicking butt and taking names :) Probably mine and Steady's ;)

  5. Fantastic! And it will just keep getting better :)

  6. Crazy weather! Ours has been like that too! 80 then 40 ... so weird!

    Yay for the awesome moment during your ride! Makes all the hard work worth it! :)

  7. Yay for you and Connor! So glad things are going so well!
