Bribery!

Surprise!  Instead of doing two days with Cathy for my birthday present from my mom, I did one clinic with Nancy K on Monday (Dressage trainer who hasn't seen Connor in 14 months) and will do one day with Cathy.  He went so well in the Nancy lesson, and I learned some amazing complementary information to the biomechanics stuff I've been working through.  There's a video I haven't gotten yet, the writeup will wait for that.

In the meantime, this is what happened before the Nancy lesson:  bribery.

I will hose you down, and fly spray you...

...and let you eat grass...

...and take photos of you from the worst angle ever...

...and giggle at your funny faces if you'll just be good for this ride!

(Reality sets in.)

Fun and effective!

Me too. I don't think it works that way for them, but it's fun anyway.

And we did, so it must have worked!

That is how I shortened Roscoe's mane one time. Gotta love bribery :0
Sounds like you are getting an awesome 2 for 1 gift. Can't wait to see the results.

I'm glad, it's the worst angle ever, he looks like a yearling! Haha. Glamour shots. :)

Good thinking! Bribery works for mane pulling, Connor is good for it but I still like to make it a pleasant experience.

Gotta make these 900lb animals behave somehow right???

Glad I am not alone in that :)

Bribery works extremely well with Welshies. They're smart, and very willing for the right motivation, which is usually attention (and food) from their person.

I still can't believe how grown up he looks! He reminds me of a mini Belgian.

I love it when you comment, Lisa!! I remember that being one of the first things you told me, when I still had Shae.
