Perspective

We showed.  We learned.  It was a good thing to do at this point in the season.

And then we had the scariest trailering experience of our lives on the way home, and had to find a place to stay overnight emergency-style, with horses.  Not sure I feel like writing about it yet, although it's definitely a good story.  TL;DR: This is why we have big trucks, and thank goodness for the close-knit southern Indiana eventing community.

In the end, the show doesn't matter.  What matters is my happy, healthy partner in crime eating hay in his paddock at home this morning, 19 hours after leaving the show grounds yesterday.

This is what matters.

I was wondering how your drive home was Sunday... So thankful you all are safe and sound back home! I kept thinking about Austen's scary accident last year? and was hoping your roads were not that bad.
