Aeres Sale Video

Last weekend, Mary and I put together a sales video for Aeres for a lady who was interested in her. Because I was tailoring it for one person that already knew her backstory vs. the general public, I did it a lot differently than I normally would: I included some clips of her being groomed, I kept the cuts long, and I intentionally left in some bobbles that show her current weaknesses.

While there's no harm in her going back to have a life as a momma in a couple of months, please feel free to forward this video and my contact info to anyone you think might be interested in her.

  1. it hurts to think of the constant upheaval in her life. No security, no friend for life. She needs one safe place for the rest of her life. Sentient creature, not a used car. I hate the constant churning horses have to endure

    1. Forever homes are great, but horses are quite adaptable too, just look at Connor happily thriving at the training barn. Aeres is a lucky one only having one other home besides her breeders where she was born and where she'll return in her almost ten years of life, plus the home she has with me, where she's clearly thriving.

  2. I hope you are able to find the perfect place for her. She has really thrived with you and I’m so glad that you were in the position to learn from her and help her along the way!

  3. Goodness, she's lovely, and she's really blossomed under your care! I'm sure she's going to find a wonderful home, either with her breeder or a riding home. She's one special mare!

  5. She is lovely. Three excellent gaits and a friendly demeanor. If someone chooses to buy her as a riding horse I think they'll have a real gem. Similarly, I think if she goes back to Lisa and becomes a broodmare it'll be a good thing for the breeding program.

  7. She’s not technically for sale. There are no sale ads for her. That said, the right person came along for her AND the fit was just right, I would certainly consider it. Sorry Jen. I know you want to see her continue on with her huge talents. I do too, but she is also extremely valuable as a broodmare. I know you know that. Time will tell. THANK YOU, for making an honest video. If the right person is out there for her, God will make it happen. He has so many, many other times for our Castleberry Cobs. I’ve made so many wonderful (like family) friends through our Cobs.

  8. I wish I were in a place to be looking because she’s exactly what I’d be looking for. No matter what happens she’s going to do cool things. If that’s breeding I’ll be keeping an eye out for her offspring 😉
